Heather Barcroft, LPC
Counselor and Psychotherapist
At some point, we often find ourselves struggling to get past a problem, whether that problem is with an important relationship, or an inner emotional struggle. I enjoy working with people to better understand how they came into conflict with self and how one can move from old ways of coping to newer healthier ways. I strive to help my patients better understand their thoughts, feelings, and actions. The more we know about ourselves the more freedom we have to make better choices in work, play, and relationships.
Clients in my practice are often seeking help to address eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or life transitions. The combination of a safe, caring and open therapy relationship, along with specific skills training to cope with difficult emotions are at the core of therapy practice. We will work together to achieve your goals.
Change is the only constant in life, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is easy. Pain or fear can be an indicator that something isn't working and it is time for change. Like most things worthwhile, change requires hard work. I love what I get to do which is guiding you through the process of change. Whatever your struggle, I'm here to work through it with you...you are not alone!
